Artist's Comments asked me to draw him a G1 Optimus Prime head looking straight onto the viewer. This was a tricky one due to the fact that i ink on paper with Microns rather than in an image editing program so there are quite a number of symmetrical issues with this one. Plus it suffers from my usual scrappy-line-syndrome - i just hope that with more practise this settles down.Anyway i am overall reasonably happy with this. It was a nice distraction and took my mind of work and the stresses of life. In case you're wondering this Prime is based heavily on E.J. Su's Prime from the IDW comics with some elements borrowed from the 20th Anniversary Edition figure. Thanks for looking. |

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. It all goes back to the way Andy Wildman drew the old G1 comics when i was younger. His bots had curved lines and looked very organic yet still looked like robots. That style influenced me alot as a kid. Of course then i took a ten year break from drawing!!
