Hey guys,

Seeing as how I haven't posted in a while I thought that I'd post something that I am currently working on.

This is the coloured version of the commission that I did for: [link]

She's not quite finished yet. I still need to tidy up some of the highlights and to work on the overall colour balance. But it's a fair bet to say that this is about 90% complete.

With this colouring I am trying a vast plethora of new things. They key difference here is that I have opted for softer brushes in favour of the cell-shading and texture based brushed I have used before.

I'm still trying to find my way with this colouring thing so you'll need to stick with me just a while longer until I figure out exactly where I want to go with it.

I'd post a proper critique if I was able (I duz not have da powerz!)but in lieu of that, here goes...

Frankly, superb!

Your colour modelling skills are showing a clearly marked improvement, and point towards a definite style. Applying a colour wash to the background also is a neat trick for grounding the image as a whole.

I really like the colour scheme you've given her - that electric blue armour does a lot to accentuate the feminine aspects of the character.

The only negative point I could raise is that - as with any colour job - once the colours are in place, slight flaws in the line art are made that bit more noticeable. But that's more down to me 'getting my snob on' and being pernickety.

Overall, in my humble opinion - a big thumbs up!
